MOF: Government Tenders Reach QR 8.6 Billion in 2026 Q1

Doha, May 25 (QNA) - The Ministry of Finance (MOF) announced Monday that government tenders and bids achieved a total value of QR 8.6 billion during the first quarter of 2026.
In a post on its X platform, the MOF said that QR 6.3 billion of these tenders was awarded to local companies, registering an increase of 59 percent, while QR 2.3 billion was awarded to foreign companies, representing an increase of 53 percent compared to the same period in 2025.
MOF pointed out that health, municipal and environment, culture and sports, and energy sectors topped the sector performance index during the first quarter of 2026. (QNA)
