4.7 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Western Turkiye
Ankara, July 22 (QNA) - An earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale struck on Monday the state of Canakkale, western Turkiye.
The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Administration (AFAD) explained in a statement that the earthquake occurred in the Azin district at a depth of 10.23 kilometers, with no human or material losses reported so far.
On February 6, 2023, two earthquakes struck southern Turkiye and northern Syria with a magnitude of 7.7 and 7.6, followed by thousands of violent aftershocks, killing and injuring tens of thousands of civilians. (QNA)
