Washington, May 22 (QNA) - Adobe announced new AI-based additions to its Lightroom program to simplify the photo editing process for professionals and beginners.
These enhancements include a Generative Remove in the beta version and new background blur effects now available to all Lightroom users.
The Generative Remove utilizes Adobe's Firefly AI model, accessible on Lightrooms mobile, web, and desktop applications. Described as Lightrooms "most powerful remove tool yet," the feature allows users to "paint" over unwanted objects or people in images and then delete them with a click of a button.
The Generative Remove tool generates three different variations that replace the removed object, allowing users to select the option they feel looks most natural.
Previously, removing elements from photos required complex steps, but this feature simplifies the process significantly, even for novice users with little photo editing experience.
Additionally, Adobe has introduced a new AI-powered Lens Blur tool for all Lightroom users. This feature can apply a variety of different blurring effects to any part of an image with a single click and automatically estimates field-of-view depth to make background blur appear more natural. Lens Blur is operated like a filter users can apply an automated preset or adjust specific parameters until they get their desired effect.
Since launching the generative AI model in 2023, Adobe has been cramming Firefly-powered tools into several of its creative software applications that could help Adobe tempt new users to the platform if they no longer feel intimidated by its complicated, professional-focused interface. (QNA)
