Palestinian Female Prisoner Martyred in Israeli Prison
Ramallah, July 02 (QNA) - An elderly Palestinian detainee (68), from the Old City of Hebron, in the southern occupied West Bank, was martyred while she was in the Israeli Damon prison.
The Palestinian Prisoners Club announced today the death of the captive Saadia Farajallah (68), from the town of Idna, west of Hebron, in the Damon prison, without knowing the circumstances of her death until now.
The Prisoner Club clarified, in a statement, that the female captive is the oldest Palestinian female prisoner in the prisons of the Israeli occupation. She was arrested near the Ibrahimi Mosque in the center of Hebron on December 18, 2021, for allegedly attempting to carry out a stabbing attack. She is a mother of eight children.
The Prisoner's Club held the Israeli occupation prisons administration fully responsible for her martyrdom, and for the fate and lives of all Palestinian prisoners in the occupation prisons.
The occupation authorities continue to arrest 29 Palestinian women imprisoned in Damoun prison, the oldest of whom is Maysoon Musa from Bethlehem, who has been under detention since 2015 and sentenced to 15 years in prison. Among the female prisoners are two under administrative detention: Shurooq Al-Badan and Bushra Al-Taweel, in addition to 10 mothers, and minor prisoner Nufouth Hammad. Regarding sickness cases among female prisoners Esraa Jaabis is suffering the most .
Palestinian female prisoners in Damon prison face harsh and difficult detention conditions. They are beaten, humiliated, and all kinds of psychological and physical harassment are exercised against them.(QNA)
