Doha, November 10 (QNA) - The Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced that the National Qualifications and Academic Accreditation Committee has won the Innovation and Research Award granted by the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE) for 2024-2025. The award was given for the research paper titled: "Artificial Intelligence for Quality Assurance in Higher Education: A Policy-to-Implementation Model from Qatar with a Global Perspective."

This achievement reflects Qatar's pioneering role in utilizing modern technologies to serve education and underscores the National Qualifications and Academic Accreditation Committee's commitment to developing the higher education system according to best global practices, in line with the aspirations of Qatar National Vision 2030 for high-quality education based on innovation and knowledge.

The research received international recognition for its advanced applied approach to integrating artificial intelligence within national quality assurance frameworks and enhancing transparency, ethical governance, and institutional accountability in higher education institutions.

The research also presents a proposed practical framework to help higher education institutions enhance the efficiency of academic accreditation, expedite its procedures, and improve its outcomes. This model, based on the Qatari experience, serves as a global benchmark that can be adapted for similar applications in various educational settings.

The Ministry extends its sincere congratulations to the authors, Dr. Rima Asifan and Professor Dr. Mazen Omar Hassaneh, and all members of the National Qualifications and Academic Accreditation Committee, on this achievement, which reflects a spirit of innovation and institutional work.

It is worth noting that the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE) Award is granted annually to pioneering initiatives and research that contribute to the development of quality assurance and academic accreditation practices at the international level. It also encourages the exchange of expertise among quality assurance agencies and higher education institutions worldwide, thereby fostering a culture of excellence and innovation in education.
