Doha, September 21 (QNA) - The State of Qatar, represented by the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA), hosted today, under the supervision of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the 7th meeting of the FIFA World Cup 2022 Task Force (FWC2022 TF/7), which will last for two days.
In addition to the host Qatar, the meeting was attended by 62 participants from a number of countries including Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Libya, Oman, UAE, Bahrain and Yemen, and representatives of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers' Associations (IFATCA).
The meeting discussed the latest preparations and measures to be taken to accommodate the expected large air traffic during the period of hosting the World Cup by the State of Qatar, in addition to means of coordination related to the management of air traffic flow during the event, in cooperation with IATA, the Middle East countries, air navigation service providers and airspace users in the region.
