Doha, December 09 (QNA) - Croatia defeated Brazil on Friday on penalties to qualify for the semi-finals of the FIFA's Qatar World Cup 2022 in a completely dramatic match.

As the game ended goalless at the end of 90 minutes, Neymar scored the opener in the first half of extra time, but Bruno Petkovic came up with the equalizer only four minutes before the end of the fixture.

In the penalty shootout, the Brazilian squad missed two penalties, while Croatia slammed all penalties to win 4-2 in the end.

Dominik Livakovic saved Rodrygo's first penalty and Marquinhos hit the post to give Croatia a 4-2 shootout win over Brazil.

Croatia now await the winner of Argentina and the Netherlands who clash later on Friday. (QNA)
