Doha, December 07 (QNA) - Netherlands goalie Andries Noppert said he was fully prepared for their last-eight clash against Argentina in FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 on Friday.

The 28-year-old expressed pride for being selected as the main goalie although he did not have any previous international cabs. His first-ever World Cup game was against Senegal in the round of 16.

SC Heerenveen goalie added that he is not frightened of playing against Lionel Messi in the quarter-finals. Messi is a world-class and great player, but he sometimes makes mistakes, he said.

In the second round, Netherlands defeated the US 3-1. Argentina advanced to the quarter-finals after a 2-1 victory over Australia. (QNA)
