Madrid, December 25 (QNA) - The Polish professional footballer and striker Robert Lewandowski lauded the level of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 final concluded last Sunday, and culminated in Argentine wining the trophy for the third time in its history.

Speaking to Spanish nationwide daily sports newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", Lewandowski said that Qatar tournament final was the best final game he has ever seen, because the tournament was held during the season instead of June, as the footballers were so exhausted by the end of the season making it impossible for them to play games at such a high level after the first 70 minutes.

Commenting on his satisfaction for the level he made with the Polish team, he confirmed that Poland succeeded to achieve goals in this world cup, pointing out that his team played against France in the round of 16 after presenting the first good game, adding that his team lost to France and Argentine teams that were qualified to the final.

He said that it was possible to play better, however, his team made goals and this was good, indicating that it is early to decide whether he is going to participate in the upcoming world cup tournament in 2026.

Lewandowski pointed out that his focus is now turned to his participation in UEFA Euro 2024 . (QNA)
