In a meeting held today in the Indonesian city of Bali and chaired by HE President of the Association Dahlan Jamaan Al Hamad, the Association said that the successful Qatari organization of the World Cup will reflect positively on the development of all sports not only football in all technical and organizational aspects in the continent.
The Association's board of directors also commended the efforts of all sports federations in the continent in training athletes in a distinctive way during the period of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic in the past few years in order to preserve athletes and maintain their physical and technical readiness to participate in the major challenges, saying that reflected positively on the results attained by the continent's athletes in the various world championships.
The council approved the calendar of tournaments as the Asian indoor championship 2024 will be held in Iran, the U20 Asian track and field championship 2024 in the UAE, the U18 Asian championship 2025 in Saudi Arabia, the Asian championship for adults 2015 in South Korea, while China will host the same tournament in 2027.
