Rabat, December 19 (QNA) - Moroccan national team star Achraf Hakimi described his participation in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 as unique.

The World Cup concluded yesterday with the Argentine national team crowned as champions, after beating France 4-2 on penalties.

Hakimi tweeted that the Moroccan squad gave the best Arab and African performance in the history of the tournament. The Moroccan footballer expressed his pride in his country's accomplishment in the World Cup, coming in fourth place, among the World's best teams, noting that this success occurred with the help and support of its Moroccan, African, and International fans.

The Paris Saint-Germain's right-back said that his team will return stronger in the upcoming competitions, promising fans an exciting performance.

Morocco lost to Croatia 1-2, to just miss out on the bronze medal. The Moroccan defense was the strongest in the competition, conceding only five goals throughout, four of which during the last two matches. (QNA)
