Doha, December 18 (QNA) - Argentina's Lionel Messi won the Golden Ball award for the best player of the World Cup after leading Argentina to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 title.

Messi led Argentina to a 4-2 victory on penalties after the rollercoaster final match ended in a 3-3 draw at the Lusail Stadium on Sunday.

The Argentina captain scored in all the tournament matches. Also, Messi became Argentina's top goal-scorer in the World Cup. (QNA)
