Doha, December 18 (QNA) - HE Secretary General of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC) Hassan Al Thawadi expressed his excitement after the success of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which achieved the highest level of excellence - in all aspects - in the history of World Cup editions.

In his press on the sidelines of the final match between Argentina and France, Al Thawadi said that the 22nd World Cup edition showcased the impressive work of the State of Qatar in organizing World Cup tournaments, most notably that Qatar managed to gather the whole world with its different cultures and beliefs around sports, delivering a message of peace through sports.

Al Thawadi added that the tournament went through several stages of the Qatari distinguished and organized work, reaching the final match in the best way possible. He pointed out that FIFA World Cup is one of the best World Cup editions in terms of fans' attendance in and out of the stadiums.

Al Thawadi stressed that Qatar proved its capability to gather peoples of the world in a distinguished World Cup edition, where all possible efforts were exerted to make it an impressive success. He noted that the World Cup reflected the distinguished image of the region and Qatar's immense capabilities in making any sports event a success.

SC Secretary General attributed the tournament's impressive success to Qatar's wise leadership that made sure this World Cup edition is distinguished, goes by all organizational standards, and achieves success.

He referred to the huge support provided by the Qatari officials in terms of safety, security, and healthcare, which made this tournament exceptional, and world fans who came to Qatar enjoyed the tournament and easily accessed stadiums and fan zones since the World Cup kickoff, reaching the final match of the most wonderful global football event.
