Doha, December 18 (QNA) - The FIFA Fan Festival in Al Bidda Park attracted more than 1.8 million fans who enjoyed watching the World Cup matches on large screens live, as well as enjoyed the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 entertainment program, ending today with the World Cups final match between France and Argentina at Lusail Stadium.

The FIFA Fan Festival kicked off on November 19 and was a destination for foreign and local fans during the tournament, screening the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 matches, and providing free entertainment that included many big names in the music world, such as Diplo, Maluma, Kizz Daniel, Nora Fatehi, Trinidad Cardona and Calvin Harris.

FIFA Fan Festival Director Mead Al Emadi said that after years of hard work, it is pleasing to see passionate football fans from all over the world come to the FIFA Fan Festival to celebrate football.

Al Emadi added that bridging the gap between East and West is an important part of the legacy of organizing the first World Cup in the Middle East and the Arab world, with the Fan Festival playing a major role in this noble mission. The FIFA Fan Festival Director thanked the wonderful groups she worked with, contributing tremendously to make this wonderful project a success over the past years, which would not have been possible if it werent for their support.

Head of Experiential Marketing and Promotion at FIFA Gerdine Lindhout said that the FIFA Fan Fest has proven to be the soul of the tournament, bringing together millions of fans from all over the world to share and express their passion for the beautiful game.

Fans from all over the world lived all the moments offered by this wonderful festival, and in this context. In this context, Slim, a 27 year old fan from Ghana said that this was his fifth time at the FIFA Fan Festival, and he is loving it.

He added that he tries to come whenever he can to watch the match, enjoy great music and food in addition to meeting fans from all over the world, thanks to this great venue. Slim said that this is a really unique experience and that this is probably the best World Cup ever.

In turn, Irina, the 30-year-old who supports the French national team, expressed her enthusiasm to share the experience with new friends, saying that she really loves celebrating with other fans and cheering with them, with the FIFA Fan Festival being the ideal place to do so, meet people from the world-over.

As for the Argentine fans, Federico and Luciana, 33 and 29 years old, respectively, they have been in Doha since the start of the tournament, having attended all Argentina matches and visited the FIFA Fan Festival several times during their stay in Doha, not only for watching football matches, but to also meet, particularly the fans of Saudi Arabia, Morocco and Mexico, commenting that it is amazing seeing everyone enjoying the atmosphere together.
