Morocco's Coach Asserts Pursuit to Win Against Croatia Tomorrow, Getting Bronze Medal

Doha, December 16 (QNA) - Moroccan national Coach Walid Regragui confirmed that his team will seek to beat Croatia in their match together tomorrow, to come in third in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, describing the match as difficult.
Walid Regragui said in the pre-match press conference held at the tournaments Main Media Center at the Qatar National Convention Center today that the Moroccan squad seeks to prove that it is one of the Worlds best teams, in its confrontation with Croatia tomorrow to determine the third-place winner. He elaborated that the Moroccan squad will play the match whilst being mentally and physically exhausted after its confrontation against France in the semi-finals, yet the team still aspires to win the bronze medal and conclude its participation in the tournament with the best possible performance.
The Coach added that they aspired to reach the final, having lost to France after a good match, rendering Morocco among the 4 best teams in the world. Regragui added that it is imperative to perform well tomorrow, as both teams strive to win the bronze medal, with Croatian having good players, making the game a fierce one.
The Moroccan Coach continued by saying that tomorrows match is crucial to making it on the best international rankings, and that it is imperative to think about the future, in which Morocco aspires to become one of Africas best teams. Regragui considered that his teams performance in this World Cup was great, saying that every success is a step towards the goal, and if Morocco ends up third this time around, it should strive to become champion in the future.
Regragui also pointed out that there are injuries amongst the team members, yet the technical team will include tomorrow those who are fit, with everyone willing do their best to win. He reflected by saying that the Moroccan squad played well this tournament, despite its disappointed for losing against France, since Morocco was eager to win, yet it is imperative to be proud of the teams performance this edition.
The Moroccan national team coach added that it is only natural that mistakes occurred during the France match, saying that this is how football is. He explained that some footballers will be participating for the first time in the tournament, hoping to give a good competitive game. Regragui stated that one must not regret losing to France, despite having had the goal of reaching the final, post-Portugal game. However, the squad is still part-taking in the tournament and must seek to win, despite the disappointment of not making it to the final.
On the other hand, Regragui expected the final match between France and Argentina to be a fierce one.
For his part, Moroccan national team player Zakaria Aboukhlal said during the press conference that defeating Croatia tomorrow for the third place is a must. He added that tomorrows match serves as an opportunity to have an African team win the bronze medal for the first time ever. Aboukhlal added that Morocco lost to France after a good match, and that he has a good feeling about tomorrow's match, saying that the squad will play with the same spirit as in previous matches, performing well.
