Katara Inaugurates New Painting on World Cup

Doha, December 15 (QNA) - The Cultural Village (Katara) held Thursday evening in Building (47) the inauguration of a painting entitled "towards the goal" by Syrian artist Muntaha Jamil Sallat.
The inauguration ceremony, held on the occasion of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, was attended by a number of members of the diplomatic corps accredited to the country and those interested in plastic art.
Charge d'Affairs of the Syrian Embassy to the country Dr. Bilal Turkiya said that Qatar dazzled the world by organizing this global football festival, praising the cultural activities that Katara holds for the guests of the World Cup.
He stressed that the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 highlighted the rich Arab and Islamic cultures.
Syrian artist Muntaha Jamil Sallat said in a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) that it is a great honor for her to put her fingerprints and colors on the walls of one of Katara buildings. She noted that her large painting expresses the great global football event, which is Qatar's hosting of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. (QNA)
