Doha, December 13 (QNA) - HE President of Al Gharafa Club Sheikh Jassim bin Thamer Al-Thani praised the wonderful and distinguished organization and the great success achieved by Qatar in hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

He pointed out that what Qatar presented to the world is a source of pride for all Arabs, praising the unprecedented great achievement of the Moroccan national team by qualifying for the semi-finals of the tournament after defeating big international teams and presenting the best levels.

In remarks today during a meeting with the President of the Sports Association of the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces Abu Baker Al-Ayoubi, the President of Al Gharafa Club said Moroccan football deserves this global status with its outstanding players throughout history and what the national team's players achieved in the World Cup with determination is considered an example to follow.

HE Sheikh Jassim bin Thamer Al-Thani expressed his happiness at the visit of Abu Baker Al-Ayoubi, extending his congratulations to him and the Moroccan people on the great sporting achievement of the Moroccan team in the World Cup in Qatar.

He added the visit confirmed the depth of the strong relations between the Qatari and Moroccan people and established the foundations for future cooperation in the sports field, noting that Al-Gharafa Club was distinguished in its golden era by the presence of a number of Moroccan players who played for the team, such as Othman Al-Assas and Abdel-Haq Ait Al-Arif.

For his part, Abu Baker Al-Ayoubi, President of the Sports Association of the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces, praised the wonderful organization and the great success achieved by Qatar in hosting an exceptional and unprecedented World Cup, pointing out that the State of Qatar honored the Arabs by organizing a World Cup that will be remembered for years as the best version of the World Cup in history, adding the great Qatari achievement is a source of pride for all Arabs.

He continued by saying that the achievement of Moroccan football in the World Cup in Qatar will remain engraved in history and in the memory of generations over the years, expressing his happiness at his visit to Doha, praising the warm reception, hospitality and spirit of brotherhood. (QNA)
