Doha, December 12 (QNA) - Within the expression of the cultural diversity of the communities, held on the sidelines of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, the Ministry of Culture organized the Bengali community day, characterized by a rich program that reflects the distinguished diversity of Bangladesh.

In her speech, the Counsellor at the Embassy of Bangladesh in Qatar Mobassera Kadre hailed the efforts exerted by the Ministry of Culture to promote various forms of cultural diversity and introduce the multiple communities in Qatar to the different cultures and heritage of the expats living in Qatar. She congratulated the State of Qatar on the occasion of the national day and its impressive success in organizing the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

A group of artistic groups presented several popular, classic, and modern Bengali repertoires accompanied by folkloric dances in the traditional dress of different regions and cultures, reflecting the cultural and artistic diversity of the country.

The Bengali community also held a display of women's traditional costumes that reflected the beauty of the Bengali embroidery in its various colors, in addition to presenting a model of a traditional Bengali wedding and its customs.

The event also included a demonstration of the Bengali cuisine, which included a variety of food and meals.

On the other hand, a group of children made a presentation on various professions and crafts in the country.

The expression of the cultural diversity event aims to provide the opportunity for community groups in the country to display their diversified arts, culture, and heritage. (QNA)
