Doha, December 12 (QNA) - Qatar Duty Free (QDF), the official retail partner of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, announced Monday the official opening of the first-ever FIFA store around the world at Hamad International Airport (HIA).

The FIFA Store offers an impressive range of official merchandise and FIFA World Cup-related souvenirs and collectibles.

The store is the first of its kind in Qatar and the world that sells official products bearing the FIFA brand, souvenirs and collectibles for the World Cup tournament, as well as items related to the various football FIFA competitions such as emblems, figures, medals, badges and clothing, bags, and other products, most of which are produced coinciding with the events organized by FIFA.

The QDF runs all official FIFA stores in various locations, including the eight World Cup stadiums, and the mega store at the FIFA Fan Festival.

Vice President of QDF Thabet Musleh said in an exclusive statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) that HIA and QDF are always outstanding, citing the HIA's award as the world's best airport. The partnership with FIFA led to the opening of the first FIFA store in the world, he said, highlighting the upcoming partnerships in light of keenness to develop business and within competition with the rest of airports and markets, which motivates us to innovate and develop more.

This current period has been exceptional for Qatar, and the QDF's important role in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, as well as the opening of the first store of its kind in the world within the new HIA expansion is a source of pride, he added.

As the World Cup draws to a close, thousands of traveling fans are welcomed to explore the FIFA Store and its special merchandise, shop for special souvenirs and celebrate an experience unlike any other, he said.

The FIFA Store at HIA includes a group of exclusive FIFA products, including football t-shirts, sportswear and accessories, as well as the official match ball of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 (Al Rihla), souvenirs and exclusive collectibles for this tournament. Also, the store has a premium selection of official team jerseys and accessories to help fans show support for their favorite teams and the official match ball of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 semi-finals and finals (Al Hilm).
