Doha, December 11 (QNA) - President of the Ghana Football Association Kurt Okraku praised the Qatari organization of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

In an exclusive statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Okraku said that Qatar organized an exceptional World Cup edition, in all of its details, for both fans and teams, harnessing great technical capabilities that satisfied all national teams.

President of the Ghana Football Association added that since the announcement of its winning the hosting bid, the State of Qatar bet on its accumulated experience in hosting tournaments at the continental and global levels of several sports. In turn, it is then natural for Qatar to walk the extra mile and put additional touches on the event, such as the fans possibility to attend more than one match a day during the group stage and the round of 16.

Okraku expressed his happiness at following a different edition in terms of World Cup tournament organization when it comes to timing, fan vibes and cheering, transportation arrangements and stadium access with ease and the high level of security, resulting in an immortal tournament in the history of the World Cup, when fans did not struggle either with transportation or accommodation or stadiums.
He continued by saying that no issues have occurred so far in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, nor did any fan face any struggles. Instead, all fans from the world over had a pleasurable and passionate football experience, something that the State of Qatar must take credit for, has provided a great example to the world in the convergence of peoples of different cultures around football, echoing the message of sports bringing peoples closer.

Okraku stressed that the 22nd edition of the World Cup is unique given that it is the last to be held in one country, pointing to the future direction of FIFA to hold matches in more than one country thus, more than in one city.

The President of the Ghanaian association touched on his country's participation in the tournament, describing it as distinguished, in which the team performed well, yet was not successful in advancing to the next round, as a result of the strength of the other group members on the one hand, and the lack of success that players needed in their last match.

Okraku considered the current generation of Ghanaian national team players as promising, because of their promising potential that will play a major role in the development of Ghanaian football, which is looking to regain titles at the continental level, to then join the next edition of the World Cup, a long-term project that the Ghana Football Association is working on with the help of its promising players.
The President of the Ghana Football Association attributed the failure of any of the participating teams in the World Cup to get nine points within their group in the first round, to the strength of competition and the readiness of all teams for a unique participation in the twenty-second edition, due to the timing of the tournament being held in the winter for the first time, when all players are in their best technical and physical states, which enriched the competition and made it fierce, resulting in a heightened competition.

Okraku pointed out the high competitive value of the tournament, being apparent in the results of many teams who beat champion teams such as Germany, Spain, Argentina, France and Brazil, all of which lost in the initial stages, which did not happen in the previous World Cup editions, proving how competitive and real this tournament is, charged by every teams great ambitions and aspirations.
At the end of his exclusive statements to QNA, the President of the Ghana Football Association expressed his pride in his associations strong relations with all sports federations in the GCC countries, looking forward to sports cooperation in the interest of Ghanaian and GCC football, praising in the same context the strong relations that the Ghana Football Association shares with the Qatar Football Association.

The Ghana Football Association President's statements to QNA came after he signed a memorandum of understanding with the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, at the Saudi House, which is currently present in Doha during the World Cup period. (QNA)
