Tehran, November 09 (QNA) - Iran coach Carlos Queiroz voiced hopes that his side will be able to achieve good results in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which will be held from Nov. 20 to Dec.18, stressing that his side will fight hard to win their matches in the tournament.
Iran were drawn in Group B along with England, the US and Wales, and their first clash will be against England on Nov. 21.
Iran's second match will be on Nov. 25 against Wales before they end their group stage against the US on Nov. 29.
The Iranian team's qualification for the third time in a row to the World Cup is an achievement for Iranian football, Queiroz said in a video statement today during the ceremony of unveiling the official uniform of the Iranian team during the tournament.
He expressed his happiness to lead the team for the second time in World Cup, promising to present strong matches that delight Iranian fans.
The Iranian Football Association revealed today the uniform of the national team, which is inspired by the Asian Cheetah, which Iran is making efforts to protect it from extinction. (QNA)
