Doha, November 30 (QNA) - France striker Antoine Griezmann said that his team played a good match but was unable to win, expressing his deep regret for today's loss against Tunisia at the third fixture of group stage in FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Speaking after the match, Griezmann said his side wanted to win to stretch their lead of the group, adding they were unable to equalize despite the substitutions made by coach Didier Deschamps in the second half.
The players showed a good performance today, and the coach tried to get most of the players involved in today's game after securing qualification to the second round, he said.
Now the team will focus on next matches in the knockout stage, he said, describing today's match as somewhat tough and complicated.
The referee chalked off a last minute goal, and this, and this defeat will not affect the team's morale in the coming matches, he said. (QNA)
