Doha, November 27 (QNA) - Canada coach John Herdman regretted his side's underwhelming performance in their 1-4 loss to Croatia on Sunday in their second Group H fixtures at FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Speaking at the after-match press conference, Herdman lauded his team's strong and positive start that saw Alphonso Davis scoring in the second minute.
After the score was levelled, Croatia were able to use Canada's mistakes and dealt with their tactics, Herdman said, blaming the disappointing performance partially on some injuries within his side.
He also voiced hopes his side would perform well against Morocco in the third group stage fixture due on Thursday.
Today's loss, coming after a 0-1 loss to Belgium in the group opener, means Canada were eliminated from the World Cup. (QNA)
