Doha, November 27 (QNA) - Defense mistakes made by the Belgian national team was the main reason of losing 0-2 to Morocco in their match of second round of group F competition in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, Belgium's head coach Roberto Martinez has said.
At the post-match press conference, Martinez said that the Moroccan team were playing with a high level of defensive tactics and rebounding with counterattacks, making the Belgian team's mission harder.
He noted that the Moroccan team mastered set pieces, explaining that the Moroccan goal came against the course of play in the match, which morally affected the players of the Belgian team.
The only way to qualify for the 16 round is to address the mistakes and prepare the Belgian team to face Croatia in the last match of the group, he asserted. (QNA)
