Doha, November 25 (QNA) - Saleh Al-Dawod, the former player of the Saudi national team, expressed his great hope that his countrys national team would continue to delight the Saudi and Arab fans, as it did against Argentina, when it faces its Polish counterpart on Saturday, at Education City Stadium, for the second round of Group C matches of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
The star of the Saudi national team in the 1994 World Cup in the United States added in an exclusive statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) that the Saudi national team is under the microscope, and all eyes are directed to it after the surprise against its Argentine counterpart, and the joy was overwhelming in the Saudi and Arab circles.
He continued that getting the players out of this atmosphere is in the hands of the coaching staff and the French coach, Herve Renard, and the team must play well tomorrow, especially since all the teams have read well the Saudi national team and will try to play with caution, believing that the coach of the Polish national team, Czeslaw Michniewicz, watched the match several times and developed solutions to stop the switches of the Saudi team.
Al-Dawod called to turn the page of Argentina match and think about tomorrow's match.
He said that the Saudi team must forget the Argentina match and focus on tomorrow's match with all its details, as it will be a very difficult confrontation and there must be realism, and against Poland tomorrow the situation is completely different.
Al-Dawod pointed out that the task will not be easy regarding the issue of changing players and absence in light of the injuries of Salman Al-Faraj and Yasser Al-Shahrani.
He sent a special message to the players of the Saudi national team to continue with the same determination and spirit in the upcoming confrontation tomorrow against Lewandowski's colleagues.
The former Saudi national team player concluded his statements to (QNA) by saying that the current generation of the Saudi national team is fortunate that it plays its matches in Qatar as if it is at home in Jeddah or Riyadh, where there is great public support, in addition to the availability of all means to facilitate the arrival of the fans to Doha.
