Doha, November 23 (QNA) - Belgium coach Roberto Martinez has admitted that his team was not the best today in the match against Canada for Group F in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
In the press conference after the match, Martinez said, that his team achieved the most important thing, which is to win the three points, adding that many will say that this is one of the worst matches that Belgium have played in, but it is not like that, the players were able to turn the pressure into an advantage and succeeded in achieving victory.
Martinez attributed the reason for the appearance of the players at that poor level in the first half to the lack of sufficient time to prepare before the tournament, considering that the match against Canada is part of the preparation.
The Belgian national team coach concluded his remarks by saying the team will work hard in the upcoming confrontations to be in the best readiness in order to remain in the competition. (QNA)
