Doha, November 24 (QNA) - The head coach of Ghana's national football team, Otto Addo, expressed great disappointment after the loss of his team to their Portuguese counterparts by three goals to two in today's match in Group H competition of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 which took place at Stadium 974.
In a statement today at the post-match press conference, Addo added: "We were unlucky today, we were close to coming up with the tie point and achieving an important result especially in the last minutes after the blunders made by the Portuguese goalkeeper, however we were unsuccessful, and we paid dearly for two successive individual errors committed within short time that resulted in the second and third goals." The Ghanaian coach was surprised for the plenty kick awarded to the benefit of Cristiano Ronaldo, asking everyone to ask the match referee about the justification for awarding the penalty kick in this case.
"Our opportunities remain feasible specially after South Korea and Uruguay are tied," he concluded. (QNA)
