Doha, November 23 (QNA) - Spain crushed Costa Rica Wednesday 7-0 in Group E of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 held at Al Thumama Stadium. It is this edition's biggest World Cup win so far.
Dani Almo (11), Marco Asensio (21), Ferran Torres (31, 54), Gavi (74), Carlos Soler (90), and Alvaro Morata (92) scored the goals for Spain. Spain tops the group with three points, ahead of Japan on goal difference. Germany is in third place while Costa Rica is bottom of the group.
La Roja completely dominated Costa Rica, preventing them from mustering a single shot on target and controlled 82 percent of possession. (QNA)
