Doha, November 23 (QNA) - Coach of Japan team, partaking in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, Hajime Moriyasu described his team's victory over Germany as a historic moment, underscoring that Japan squad played smart and managed to turn the loss into a deserved win.
In the post-match press conference, Moriyasu said that Japan's football has remarkably developed in the few past years, pointing that 7 members of the squad play in the German league, which helped them to improve their performance.
Germany's goal from a penalty kick in the 33rd minute did not disappoint the squad, but rather motivated them to make more efforts which yielded scoring two goals and stopping Germany's attacks, Moriyasu said. (QNA)
