Doha,November 17 (QNA) - Qatar Youth Hostels (QYH) launched an initiative under the theme:" This is Qatar" in conjunction with the country's hosting of the FIFA world cup with the aim of introducing the most crucial Qatari landmarks to the tournament fans.
In a press statement, QYH reported that such initiative conforms with its objectives and is essentially based on three phases, the first phase is intended to post the places that can be visited in Qatar on the social media of QYH with Arabic, English, French, Spanish and German languages, including the map of Qatar which is rich of archeological sites, along with the sites that must be visited. Accordingly, two blogs were launched, the first one included the introduction of 7 different sites, while the second blog included the map of Doha city where 11 sites were introduced, emphasizing that the selection of the sites combined between the archeological sites that highlight the historic and civilized heritage, and between the contemporary sites, as well as the landscape sites.
The second phase included the launch of official website of QYH after it had been updated through introducing the sites that were mentioned in the social media which are available with the required languages via the link: https://hi-qatar.com/ar/this-qatar/.
In addition, QYH indicated that the third phase is an activity that will be programed during the period of the initiative extended during the whole period of the world cup.
The registration link will be activated on QYH's social media pages in pursuit of registering those who are willing to enjoy free visits to the sites and landmarks that were promoted within the initiative, where two visits will be programed every week to two different sites inside and outside Doha.
