Lisbon, November 16 (QNA) - Portugal captain Cristian Ronaldo said that he is ready to represent his national team at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which starts in Sunday.
Ronaldo said in remarks reported by the FIFA website that the State of Qatar will host the best World Cup ever, thanks to the preparations that were announced and the compact nature of the competition as a result of the close distance between the World Cup.
The five-time golden ball winner said that he is looking forward to a good World Cup with his national team that makes the Portuguese fans happy. He added that there are many factors that will help Portugal play at its best, particularly that the players are showing the desire to give their best.
He said that the Qatar competition was unique in terms of being the first one that takes place in the winter and in a new region, stressing that competition will be strong between all the participating teams. (QNA)
