Doha, November 16 (QNA) - The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) announced today key travel information for fans attending matches of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which starts Sunday.
The committee called on citizens and residents to use their cars to access stadiums, to enable fans from abroad to use the Doha Metro, which is set to be much busier during match days. It also urged fans to prepare for their transportation well during the competition well.
The committee said that long queues are expected outside metro stations across the country. Fans travelling by metro should allow plenty of time to complete their journey. Fans should also note that all metro stations will close daily at 3 AM throughout the tournament. The committee noted that a range of Stadium Express bus services will be available from central Doha bus hubs and key accommodation sites. These are expected to provide the quickest route to and from matches. It also advised people with luggage to use taxis or rideshare options as people with luggage might not be allowed to access the metro at busy times. (QNA)
