Riyadh, November 13 (QNA) - French coach Herve Renard announced on Sunday the drop of Fahad Al-Muwallad from the Saudi national team's final list participating in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

The Saudi national team coach brought Nawaf Al-Abed to join the list replacing Al-Muwallad, after being excluded as a precautionary measure due to the controversy surrounding his doping crisis.

After reviewing the latest developments in the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) appeal in the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) and following consultations with Saudi lawyers, coach Herve Renard had decided to exclude Al-Muwallad as a "precautionary measure" from participating in FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, bringing in Nawaf Al-Abed as a replacement, the Saudi national team said on Twitter.

The Saudi national team plays in Group C of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which includes Argentina, Mexico, and Poland. (QNA)
