Doha,November 13 (QNA) - Defense Unit Against Weapons of Mass Destruction at the Ministry of Defense proceeded with carrying out a security scan for FIFA World Cup Qatar stadiums to ensure they are devoid of chemical and radioactive materials in cooperation with the Security and Safety Operations Committee (SSOC) of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and the brotherly and friendly forces.

The security scan included Al-Bayt Stadium and Stadium 974, where the state-of-the-art technologies and sophisticated devices were used in the scanning process.

Defense Unit Against Weapons of Mass Destruction had commenced the security scan procedures for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 stadiums last week which included Al Janoub Stadium and Ahmed bin Ali Stadium.

The security scan for the world cup stadiums comes within the framework of the preparations of the Ministry of Defense to secure the tournament. (QNA)
