Doha, November 11 (QNA) - HE Ambassador of the United States of America to the State of Qatar Timmy Davis praised the experience of the State of Qatar in preparing to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022; noting that his country looks forward to learning from Qatar's experience in its preparations to co-host the 2026 World Cup with Canada and Mexico.

In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), HE the US Ambassador said: "On behalf of the US Embassy in Qatar, I share our best wishes for the State of Qatar, the Qatari people, and all who are supporting tournament preparations to welcome millions of fans and the worlds top soccer players for some of the greatest sports competition on earth." "A soccer player myself, I am impressed with Qatars efforts to organize this years World Cup.

From innovative new stadiums to state-of-the-art transportation that will benefit communities in Qatar for years to come," His Excellency added.

HE the US Ambassador affirmed that the US government is committed to supporting the State of Qatar to enhance the safety and security of the FIFA World Cup; indicating that they have shared expertise in several areas related to security in advance of the tournament.

"I congratulate the State of Qatar and the Qatari people on this historic occasion and am confident that the World Cup will be safe and secure for tens of thousands of diverse fans coming from the United States who look forward to visiting this beautiful country," HE the US Ambassador said.
