Doha, October 27 (QNA) - Argentine international Angel Di Maria said Thursday that his country will make every effort to win the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 to secure the third trophy after the 1978 and 1986 editions.
Di Maria said in statements to the FIFA official website that the players of the Argentine national team have the technical capabilities and sufficient experience to fulfill the dreams of their fans in the World Cup.
The championship is due to kick off Nov. 20 and run through Dec.
Messi's mates won the Copa America, and this will be a great motivation to win big tournaments, Di Maria said.
The 34-year-old player described hosting the World Cup in Qatar as a unique event in the region, pointing out that winning the World Cup will make the fans happy.
Di Maria said that France is nominated to compete for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 title.
The Argentine national team were drawn in Group C along with Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Poland.
Argentina won the World Cup twice, in 1978 and 1986. (QNA)
