Zurich, October 17 (QNA) - Several prominent coaches worldwide expressed their confidence in Qatar's capabilities to perform well and make outstanding results in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which is scheduled to kick off Nov. 20.

Drawn in group A along with the Netherlands, Senegal and Ecuador, Qatar seek to benefit from playing at home and their fans to make impressive results in their World Cup debut.

Speaking to FIFA official website, former Qatar and Morocco manager Philippe Trosset did not rule out the possibility that Qatar will go far in the upcoming championship.

Qatar may go far in this edition, and they may qualify for the last-16, the French coach said.

He added that he wish Qatar's debut game would be against the Netherlands instead of Ecuador.

Al Gharafa's former coach Christian Gourcuff hailed the Qatari team's preparations for the World Cup, expecting good performance in the championship.

The former Algeria manager added that the quality of players will be the key factor that decides the results of matches.
