African Diplomatic Group Commends Qatar's Preparations to Host FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022

Doha, October 13 (QNA) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs received today, a statement from the African diplomatic corps accredited to the State of Qatar, praising Doha's preparations to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

This came when Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Majed Mohammad Hassan Abdullah Al Ansari received a delegation of the group of African ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the State of Qatar, headed by HE Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the State Amr Kamal El Din El Sherbiny.

The Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, thanked the ambassadors of the African diplomatic corps for their support for the efforts of the State of Qatar to host the major global sporting event, and stressed that Qatar's preparations are proceeding according to the plans in place, with the competition set to launch on Nov. 20.

For their part, the African diplomatic group praised the ongoing preparations to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar, and expressed its admiration for the infrastructure projects and facilities in the State of Qatar, which it described as excellent, and expressed its confidence in the ability of the State of Qatar through the World Cup to make a qualitative contribution and a lasting legacy for all humanity.
