African Group of Ambassadors: FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Will Highlight Cultural Dimension of Authentic Arab Hospitality

Doha, October 11 (QNA) - The ambassadors and heads of African diplomatic missions accredited to the State of Qatar affirmed that the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 tournament will highlight the cultural dimension of authentic Arab hospitality to the participating fans during their visit to the State of Qatar, as well as millions of followers through screens and digital media, stressing that this global event will make a remarkable contribution, and a lasting legacy "by which we celebrate our common humanity".

In a statement issued by the African Group of Ambassadors, the ambassadors added that "hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 will be historical and will be a success that leaves beautiful memories for millions of football fans." On this occasion, the group's ambassadors extended their warmest congratulations and blessings to HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, and to the government and people of the State of Qatar, noting that the State of Qatar will be the first Arab and Muslim country to host the FIFA World Cup.

The ambassadors congratulated all the countries participating in this tournament, especially the teams of: Qatar, the Republic of Cameroon, the Republic of Ghana, the Kingdom of Morocco, the Republic of Senegal and the Republic of Tunisia, praising the excellence of the infrastructure and facilities designated to host this major global event.
