Doha, September 06 (QNA) - The 10th Katara International Hunting and Falconry Exhibition (S'hail 2026) is launching Tuesday at Katara Cultural Village, bringing together 14 Arab and foreign countries and running through Sept. 12.
This edition is characterized by being the most diverse thus far, with participants including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Poland, France, Turkiye, Lebanon, the United Kingdom, Pakistan, South Africa, Portugal, Spain, and Russia.
The exhibitor list showcases 155 entities and companies that will be offering an incredibly wide diversity of products and specialized services in the world of falconry and land treks.
The exhibition continues to forge its identity as a platform that assembles hunting, falconry, heritage, culture, economy and tourism, showcasing an epochal image of a longstanding legacy that the State of Qatar has been committed to protecting and bequeathing to generations to come.
This edition confirms that S'hail has no longer become merely an annual date for hunting and falconry enthusiasts, but rather a watershed moment on the agenda of professional expos - a global forum that combines a passion for heritage alongside the latest products, technologies and services offered by global markets.
This event comes as an extraordinary milestone after it pulled off success and continuity, evolving and standing out year after year, culminating in becoming a long-awaited gathering and a destination that assembles both the enduring Qatari and Arab legacy under one dome with cutting-edge global technologies and innovations.
Combined, S'hail 2026 offers a comprehensive experience showcasing a variety of aspects of hunting and falconry, as well as state-of-the-art displays by professional firms.
Visitors can literally take a closer look at novel products and technologies, alongside the opportunity to purchase hunting and camping gear and falcons.
آ  It likewise offers a wide-ranging program of accompanying events, led by a falcon auction and competitions for the best falcon hood, most beautiful participating pavilion, best garage and best verses about the falcon.
The program also features visual arts, with artists painting scenes of the wilderness and hunting environment live before an audience, creating a setting that brings together art and heritage.
The five-day exhibition transforms into a vibrant space where commerce, culture, art and heritage converge, offering visitors an experience that goes beyond the traditional exhibition concept.
The organizing committee announced new facilities for visitors and participants through the Metrash app, making it easier to obtain hunting weapon licenses, replace old weapons and purchase ammunition.
The facilities include receiving applications for hunting weapon licenses, allowing old hunting weapons to be replaced with new ones in accordance with specified regulations, as well as permitting the purchase of ammunition during the exhibition in accordance with approved requirements.
The measures are intended to streamline procedures and ensure that purchases and licensing are conducted within the enforced legal framework.
This edition is supported and sponsored by the Social and Sport Contribution Fund (DAAM), alongside several national institutions and companies, underscoring the importance of partnerships in supporting cultural and patrimonial events and promoting the presence of Qatari legacy.
This sponsorship helps support the exhibition's objectives and enhance its experience, ultimately making it align with its stature as one of the pre-eminent platforms on both the regional and global stages in pursuit of protecting its heritage and remaining tethered to the economy and community.
