Kyiv Says 12 Injured in Russian Drone Strike on Ukraine Security Service HQ
Kyiv, September 04 (QNA) - A Russian drone struck the headquarters of Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) in Kyiv on Friday, reportedly injuring 12 people and marking a significant escalation in the ongoing war.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the drone directly targeted the SBU chief's office and ordered a "proportionate and tangible" response, with Ukrainian officials saying the geographic scope of a potential retaliation has been identified.
The attack came as Kyiv faced a tenth consecutive day of Russian air strikes. Zelenskyy also said US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are due to visit Kyiv on Sunday, and urged Russia to halt its air raids during their visit. (QNA)
