LoginUS Secretary of State, Saudi FM Discuss Regional, Global Developments
Washington, September 29 (QNA) - US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, discussed on Monday with Saudi Foreign Minister (FM), Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, the latest regional and global developments, foremost being regional security and political developments, as well as situations in Yemen and efforts made regarding them.
The meeting touched on the importance of protecting security of navigation and freedom of crossing in international water pathways, notably in the Strait of Hormuz and Bab Al Mandab to strengthen the stability of the region and flow pace of trade and global supply chains.
The two sides also discussed the importance of continuing coordination and discussions between the US and Saudi Arabia on issues of mutual interest, as well as supporting diplomatic endeavors aimed at solving regional crises and strengthening security, peace and stability.
Strategic relations between the two countries were also covered during the meeting and ways of strengthening and developing them in several fields in a way that best serves the two nations. (QNA)
