Cairo, September 29 (QNA) - Qatar has taken part in the second Arab Youth Leaders Forum, which opened at the headquarters of the Arab League General Secretariat in Cairo on Tuesday.

The two-day forum is being organized in cooperation with the Arab Youth Council for Integrated Development.

Qatar's delegation was headed by HE Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League Sheikh Jassim bin Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al-Thani.

During the opening session, the Arab Youth Council for Integrated Development awarded HE Sheikh Jassim the Pioneers of Joint Arab Action Medal, recognizing his role in promoting Arab cooperation and communication and supporting initiatives aimed at strengthening solidarity and joint action.

The council also honored Qatar's Ministry of Sports and Youth for its Fazaa Al Adaam Youth initiative, a volunteer and humanitarian program designed to train and prepare Qatari youth in humanitarian, community and development work.

The initiative also seeks to encourage young people to contribute to their communities and promote a culture of volunteering and social responsibility.

The forum aims to highlight the role of young leaders and civil society organizations in supporting their countries and contributing to security and stability.

It will also examine experiences of joint Arab action involving young leaders and civil society organizations, while developing proposals to strengthen cooperation among young Arab leaders.

Discussions will cover economic, cultural and social cooperation, as well as the role of young people in addressing challenges facing Arab countries and contributing to regional security.

The forum is attended by about 300 youth leaders, public figures, specialists, media professionals and influencers, as well as representatives of civil society organizations, research and cultural centers, development institutions, youth and social affairs ministries, entrepreneurship associations and universities from 22 Arab countries.
