Kuwait City, September 28 (QNA) - Kuwait on Monday vehemently condemned the persistent storming of Al Aqsa Mosque by officials of the Israeli occupation authorities, alongside settlers, while being escorted by occupation forces.

It stressed that this move flagrantly violates international law and international humanitarian law.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs underlined that Kuwait openly pushes back against the recurrent assaults on the Holy Mosque and its religious and historic character, which provoke strong reactions among Muslims around the globe.

The ministry also condemned remarks by officials of the Israeli occupation authorities regarding the annexation of areas in southern Lebanon and others in the Gaza Strip.

In addition, the ministry reiterated Kuwait's unyielding position in support of the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, foremost of which is the creation of their independent state on the Jun. 4, 1967, borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. (QNA)
