Manila, September 22 (QNA) – A magnitude 5.2 earthquake struck on Tuesday the city of Sarangani in the Philippines.

According to the US Geological Survey, the earthquake’s epicenter was at a depth of 10 kilometers and was located 92 kilometers south of Sarangani.

A magnitude 5.7 earthquake had previously struck the Philippine island of Mindanao on February 10, without causing any casualties or material damage. The Philippines frequently experiences volcanic and seismic activity due to its location along the Pacific Ring of Fire, where tectonic plates converge. (QNA)
