Riyadh, September 21 (QNA) - The Red Sea Film Foundation announced Monday the postponement of the 6th edition of the Red Sea International Film Festival, originally scheduled for December 3–12 in Jeddah, to the fourth quarter of 2027.

The foundation stated the decision follows a comprehensive review of logistical requirements and timing to ensure an optimal experience.

The delay reflects a commitment to building on past successes and enhancing the festival's global status, returning in 2027 with a renewed vision.

Year-round support for filmmakers will continue through the Red Sea Fund and Red Sea Labs. Additionally, year-round programming will launch this November at Culture Square in Historic Jeddah as a permanent venue for screenings and cultural events.

Founded in 2019, the festival held its inaugural edition in December 2021 and moved to its permanent home in Historic Jeddah in 2024. (QNA)
