Iraq, WBG Discuss Supporting Financial Amendments, Developing Financial Management

Baghdad, September 17 (QNA) - Iraqi Finance Minister, Faleh Al Sari, met Thursday with a delegation from the World Bank Group (WBG), headed by Division Director for the Middle East Department, Dahlia Khalifa. 
The meeting discussed ways of supporting financial amendments, developing tools of financial management, and the projects that are under implementation by the Iraqi Finance Ministry. 
Al Sari affirmed that the Ministry keeps on working on these projects and moving them to practical steps, in a way that contributes to developing work mechanisms, uplifting efficiency of resource and data management, and strengthen supervision and transparency in financial institutions. 
The Iraqi minister also noted of the importance of WBG's technical support given in this field and in developing financial systems, adding that cooperation between the two sides includes several key sectors related to financial and economic reforms. (QNA)
