Qatar Commerce Minister Discusses Private Sector Priorities in Meeting with QBA Representatives
Doha, September 15 (QNA) - HE Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al-Thani has met representatives of the Qatari Businessmen Association (QBA) to discuss the priorities and challenges facing the country's private sector.
The meeting, held in Doha on Tuesday, focused on the sector's future plans, current challenges and proposals aimed at improving Qatar's business environment.
QBA representatives oshared their views and observations on a number of issues related to commercial and investment activities.
The discussions also covered ways to simplify procedures, improve services and create conditions that would support the growth of businesses and the expansion of their activities.
HE the minister stressed the Ministry of Commerce and Industry's commitment to supporting and empowering the private sector, describing it as a key partner in achieving sustainable economic development.
He said direct engagement with business leaders and consideration of their proposals could contribute to improving policies and procedures, increasing the efficiency of the business environment and strengthening its competitiveness.
The meeting also addressed recent economic and trade developments affecting the business environment, as well as future plans and initiatives being developed by the ministry to support the private sector. (QNA)
