Applying to Military Colleges Open for General Secondary School Certificate Holders
Doha, August 08 (QNA) - The unified standing committee for the selection of military officer candidates announced an application window to join military colleges (Diploma - Other Ranks).
Running from August 8 to 29, the application period targets male and female holders of the General Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent.
The eligibility criteria, as outlined by the committee, specifies that applicants must be Qatari nationals, holders of the General Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent, and that applicants must not be older than 26 years when applying.
They must also have a good reputation and conduct, and must not have been previously convicted of a felony or a crime that violates honor or integrity unless fully rehabilitated.
Applicants must not have been dismissed from public service by a final disciplinary ruling.
Moreover, they must be medically fit, to be determined by the competent medical committee.
Applicants are required to successfully pass the prescribed physical fitness tests, in addition to a personal interview conducted by the selection committee.
The unified standing committee listed the required documents for applying, these include: a certified copy of the applicant's General Secondary School Certificate, or an equivalency certificate for private schools; a copy of the applicant's ID card; a copy of the applicant's birth certificate; and a certificate from the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau attesting that the applicant is not employed by any other government entity.
The committee reserves the right to add further requirements or tests if deemed necessary. (QNA)
