Moscow, August 06 (QNA) - The Russian Ministry of Defense announced Thursday that its forces had targeted two cargo ships in the Black Sea that were operating on behalf of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The ministry said in a statement that the attacks targeted two vessels carrying military cargo, using unmanned aerial vehicles in the Black Sea, south and east of Odesa.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced Wednesday that its forces had carried out what it described as precise, direct strikes on Ukrainian Armed Forces targets, including logistics centers, workshops producing long-range drones, and drone storage facilities in the capital, Kyiv, and its outskirts. It also targeted three cargo ships south of Odesa that were transporting weapons and military equipment.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian authorities announced Thursday that Russian attacks had damaged around 700 industrial facilities in the south-central city of Zaporizhzhia as a result of shelling and airstrikes.
It also reported that two people were injured in the northeastern Ukrainian city of Sumy after infrastructure facilities were struck by Russian guided bombs.
The Russia-Ukraine war has witnessed a continued escalation in reciprocal attacks, with Kyiv intensifying its long-range strikes on targets inside Russian territory in recent months, while Moscow continues to launch missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian cities, including the capital, Kyiv. (QNA)
